Personal Injury Questions

I was on a bus which was involved in a road accident, and I suffered a leg fracture and whiplash. I contacted the bus company to discuss compensation, but they say they will not pay because the driver was not using the correct bus route. Why should this let them off the hook?

I had an accident at work two years ago, cutting and bruising my face after tripping over loose cables. My solicitor filled in all the paperwork but I have now received a letter saying my employer has denied liability and my solicitors are dropping the case. They say it’s possible we would not win and I am free to take my papers elsewhere. I was astounded. Where do I go from here?

A car ran into the back of mine six months ago. I was paid out for the damage to my car, but put in for a whiplash injury. However I’d already been seeing the doctor about a neck pain, and the specialist I saw refuses to say categorically that I’ve sustained a new injury. I’m being sent for a second opinion; do I have to sign to say I agree with the first report?

I am currently claiming for a whiplash injury. My solicitor wrote stating that the third party insurers had made an offer of £5,000. Then three days later he sent a second letter saying that he’d made a mistake and the offer was actually £4,000. I turned the money down, and have now been examined by the insurer’s doctor. If I’m not offered £5,000 can I expect the solicitor to make up the difference?

I worked in the asbestos industry for 14 years between 1966 and 1980 and as a result developed a lung condition. I put in a claim for compensation and I’ve been offered £6,000, but my solicitor says it’s not enough; what should I ask for?

Who is responsible for “adopted” land? I had a nasty fall in a pothole alongside an adopted road and feel there should have been a railing to prevent anyone coming to grief.

I was on a bus which was involved in a road accident, and I suffered a leg fracture and whiplash. I contacted the bus company to discuss compensation, but they say they will not pay because the driver was not using the correct bus route. Why should this let them off the hook?

Two years ago I was knocked down by a car. At the beginning of March my solicitor told me that I had been awarded £5,000 compensation, but I’ve still heard nothing from the insurance company. Is there any way I can get them to pay up?

My son was badly injured by a car while he was on a zebra crossing. The driver was convicted of careless driving and having no insurance. Does this mean my son cannot claim compensation?
