I have been divorced nearly two years, and am coming under increasing pressure from my ex-wife to sell the house, which is in my sole name. Do I have to do this?

Unless a court has ordered you to dispose of the property as part of a divorce settlement you don’t have to sell up just yet. If you can come to an arrangement with your ex-wife over the division of your property and assets then so much the better, but it sounds as though you ought to take a solicitor’s advice about how much she might be entitled to if she took you to court. A large number of factors are taken into account: the length of the marriage, whether children are involved, your respective incomes and so on.
