Areas of Law / Wills and Probate

As a named beneficiary in a will, do I have a legal right to see the accounts showing how the estate was wound up? The estate is supposed to be divided into three equal parts, but the other two beneficiaries, the executor and a relative of his, are keeping me in the dark. Will I be entitled to see things such as bank statements, life policies and property sale receipts?

As a residuary beneficiary you are entitled to see the estate accounts which will show how the estate has been dealt with. If the executor will not give you these, you can ask the court to order the executor to provide an account and to produce an inventory of the estate.
